Introduction to Fastag IDFC

IDFC aka Infrastructure Development Finance Company has been declared as one of the twenty-two authorized banking and finance institutions.

This authorization allowed these 22 institutions to allot a Fastag to the buyers. That’s right! IDFC is one of them.

Thus, a FASTag allotted in the name of IDFC is called Fastag IDFC or vice versa. Moving on! Do you know how to get a fastag? How to install one? How to login? Or How to recharge an IDFC Fastag? If no! You are on the right platform to learn.

IDFC Fastag is a prepaid tag that allows the toll plaza scanners to charge the customer for passing through an NHAI authorized toll automatically.

Indeed, the good part is that no vehicle requires to stop at the toll plazas for making the payment. It is one of the major benefits of Fastag IDFC.

Aforementioned, the utilization of FASTag in India has declared mandatory since December 2019. However, all toll plazas in India are not ready with such technical infrastructure, there are FASTag lanes on some toll plazas.

How IDFC Fastag works?

For the readers’ information, an IDFC FASTag must be allotted by an IDFC fastag agent or nearest point of sale. A Fastag by Infrastructure Development Finance company is installed at the center of the windscreen of the vehicle.

When a vehicle passes through a toll plaza, the main scanner at the roof of the NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) plaza scans the QR code and transfer the payment from a linked bank account to the official’s account. The main toll charges deducted from the linked bank account.
